I live in Wyndmoor, Springfield Twnshp (Montco), moving here in 1994. One of the first friends my then 6-yr old daughter made lived near-by. Several months later, after being in a conversation with her mother, I found out she had been married to Arnold. I believe their son played professional football in Canada for awhile. Talk about a small world. The last time I saw Arnold, he was working at the Free Library. Good guy, and lots of fun

Arnold had a smile that still warms the memory to this day. He was a good hearted person. I never did forget him and won't.

I realized I am not done thinking or talking about Arnold Jenkins. The only reunion I went to was the 20th. Arnold wasn't there, but someone spoke of seeing him and how he wasn't doing so well. I went back to California thinking that Arnold was a classmate. Part of the family. We needed to find him. See if we could offer any support. BUt I didn't know what to do and, upon returning to California, I felt far away. I thought of him with concern but did nothing. Years later I heard the news. It was very sad. Because we all knew Arnold was such a good person- you could feel it when he spoke. When he smiled. He was part of the class. An integral part.
I have felt more than bad. I have felt guilty. I would have liked to contact him and offered what I could. I don't know if we, his classmates, could have helped. But it feels so wrong that we did not come to his aid.
Arnold, I know you are at peace now. Your smile and countenance live on in this world. I hope we learn someting about acting in time. And the brief journey in this life. Arnold- you are rmembered and loved and were a really good soul. I miss you being here. I am truly sorry I did not act in time.
Richard
