We were Bar Mitzvahed together...always a dear friend from Mt. Airy. Lots of fond memories!

In response to Eric..Ricky was driving home from a party on the West River drive heading west,he lost control of his car and ended up on the Scuhkyll X Way.Tragic story!!

He left a wife and 2 children..I see his younger brother barry who works in philly.

I think I went from Kindergarten through Penn State with Ricky Silver. We grew up in Mt. Airy and I remember that we were close friends in elementary school. We drifted apart in dofferent circles over the years but we always waved or said hello in high school and would shoot the breeze from time to time at PSU. If I recall he died in an MVA on Wissahickon Drive a few years after college graduation leaving a wife (and child?)
He was a good guy.

Ricky was one of the funniest people I have ever known. We had a sub one day, an obese, nearly-blind old lady wearing a frumpy dress. Ricky sat in the first row and this woman made the mistake of standing in front of him. She started to talk. Ricky spread his legs and rubbed his crotch. Then he began moaning out loud. The woman, only two feet away from him, never saw or heard a thing, still talking away. This happened more than forty years ago, but it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Rest in Peace.
